Master of Public Health in Environmental Health in Temple’s College of Public Health prepares students for practice-oriented careers in environmental health, with an emphasis on examining environmental exposures from water, 土壤, air 和 the built environment that affect the health of communities. 的 program will prepare you as a public health professional with expertise in

  • changing environmental policies 和 regulations, 和 their effects on our most vulnerable populations;
  • environmental toxicology, risk assessment 和 management;

  • identifying current 和 emerging environmental factors, including microbial pathogens 和 chemical exposures, 和 their relationship to human health 和 illness.

Environmental health is an interdisciplinary science that examines relationships between people 和 their surroundings in order to identify how environmental factors influence human health, with the ultimate goal of fostering healthier 和 safer communities. Students in the 环境卫生硕士 program examine the complex global 和 local challenges related to environmental sustainability, train in illness prevention 和 risk prediction associated with environmental exposures, 和 learn to develop interventions that can reduce or eliminate exposures.

Students take core courses that explore the fundamentals of public health, as well as courses that focus on specific topics in environmental health, 如

You will also complete two fieldwork courses 和 take electives in order to build topical expertise.
